It's a terribly melodramatic translation! I mean, isn't "I love you all the more when I think of him" easier and also more accurate? Also, "My open arms shall not remain empty" -- in respect of which, ;;______;;
But, you know, the whole of it is very upsetting for reasons beyond the translation. I love them so much, and am extremely sad they didn't get their happy ending in life, and I am hoping this is what fic is for ;)
