This letter is absurdly long because there were too many tempting freeforms in the tagset and spamming you with prompts was easier than narrowing it down to a few favorite scenarios, but don’t worry, I’m not picky. Follow one of the prompts, pick bits from several, or ignore them all and write the rapefic of your heart – as long as you noncon one of these characters, I’ll be happy with anything. I know it's OR matching and I definitely don't expect you to write all the pairings or tags in my requests!

Fouché's relationship to Corentin is fascinating to me, in part because canon only gives us tiny glimpses of it (with tantalizing phrases like “this fellow belonged to Fouché” and “Corentin was not the counsellor of this minister, but his damned soul” and “he rewarded Corentin lavishly after every service”) and in part because in real life Fouché is creepy as fuck and presumably this translates to him being creepy as fuck with Corentin in the Comédie Humaineverse as well.
• Did they hook up (figuratively or literally) when Corentin was a schoolboy in Vendôme? What attracted Fouché to Corentin in the first place? Corentin would have been 7-10 and Fouché was teaching logic to high schoolers – something must have happened for a child so much younger than his own students to catch his eye. Was Corentin just that dazzlingly clever, or did Fouché save him from another molesty priest only to groom him for himself?
• Did Corentin come to him at age 14 when his school was broken up by the new revolutionary legislation? Perhaps in desperation after trying and failing to support himself for a while – and what could a schoolboy with a classical education and no practical skills do but sell his body to Enragés eager to take out their frustrations on a child prostitute with aristocratic manners? (Okay, lots of things, but this is Nonconathon.) Did Fouché bring fifteen-year-old Corentin along to Lyon to helpmurder half the city suppress the wicked federalist uprising for the good of the Republic?
• Fouché loves his ugly, frumpy wife so much, and she loves him back, in a charming wholesome way that becomes completely horrifying once you pan out and notice they are smooching atop a pile of corpses. If he’s a sexual sadist or abusing his judicial authority gets him hard, he definitely wouldn’t want to slake his darker lusts on dear Bonne-Jeanne. What a good thing he has a teenage protégé! Alternatively, Bonne-Jeanne totally knows and regards Fouché fucking Corentin with her usual thisisfine.gif serenity – maybe he even brings Corentin into the bedroom so she can watch on days when she’s not in the mood for PIV – and Corentin has to deal with all the adults in his life treating his sexual abuse (and the Terror) like it’s completely healthy and normal.
• What if Corentin really is Fouché’s demonic familiar and a Citizen of Hell? Maybe when Fouché was raiding churches during the Terror he stole a relic that gives him control of the demon Corentin (named for the saint who first bound him, of course), and he’s been using Corentin as his instrument ever since. And of course, the enslaved demon can no more refuse an order to sexually pleasure his master than any other kind.
• This makes things a bit tricky when Fouché sends his agent out into the provinces to put down royalist insurrections – naturally Fouché can’t entrust his pet demon with the relic – but maybe there’s a way to temporarily transfer the obedience spell to another master? If the military commandant of the department or a senior police colleague were to fuck Corentin, for instance?
• Or maybe that’s just the standard way the French government persuades the military and the police to get along.
• How old are the Paris Prefecture Trash Party traditions, anyway? Did Fouché hand off his twinky little protégé to Peyrade in the expectation that Peyrade would take the sexual advantage he's entitled to by rank? Or is it a subtle threat to keep his more experienced subordinate in line: ”Displease me and you too could be passed around the Ministry of Police like a cheap whore”? Peyrade wouldn't dare to vex a man like Fouché by refusing his generous offer, and for his part Corentin wouldn’t want to disappoint his master or his kind new mentor, he’s good at hiding his feelings, and Fouché may have taught him his consent doesn’t matter. It might take Peyrade a while to realize that his new boytoy is less than enthusiastic – perhaps not until alcohol or a frightening situation loosens Corentin’s tongue?
• That fruitless domiciliary visit in Une ténébreuse affaire was a bit of a fiasco, wasn’t it? Corentin needs to be punished.
• Or just generally taken down a peg. He’s such a smug, cocky little twerp, and maybe Fouché doesn’t like him parading those skin-tight breeches before the entire world… He’ll have to enforce some discipline, especially if Corentin’s overconfidence leads him to fail a mission. The ferule might be enough for a schoolboy, but a grown-up police agent requires a more severe correction.

At base this request is just your standard, garden variety character whump, but for me the great appeal of having Corentin raped, apart from the sheer diversity of characters and personalities who would probably like to do it, is how noncon would interact with Corentin’s weird brain. I’m sure most of his enemies would take the traditional view that it’s a terrible humiliation and dishonor and a way of displaying their power and dominance over him (perhaps reasserting a hierarchy that Corentin had disrupted with his machinations), but I’m not sure Corentin would see it that way, or mind for the reasons they think he’d mind, or react the way they’re hoping he’d react.
How does he feel about it? Does he invite rape deliberately as a way of averting a worse outcome, or one with more lasting consequences? Can he stop trolling everyone long enough to avoid making things worse for himself? Does he plan to take some horrible revenge on his rapists, or does he just shrug it off as a bad day at the office?
• As her noble chevalier, Montauran should take revenge on Marie’s behalf for all the years Corentin spent hanging around her and murdering her boyfriends like a creepy incel despite her total and clearly communicated lack of romantic interest, or for that stunt he pulled with the fake letter. Maybe Corentin follows Marie to the ball and gets captured, or maybe he pursues the lovers into Marie’s house in Fougères and gets in over his head. (Hulot already made it pretty clear he’s not going in after him, though perhaps he’d change his mind if his least favorite bratty spy took too long to emerge? Of course, after the rescue he might have to punish Corentin for taking such a stupid risk.) Maybe Marie would like to watch.
• Fougères had a bloody history of Chouannerie, Terror and republican counterinsurgency long before Corentin arrived. No doubt there are a lot of unquiet royalist spirits haunting the town after all the shit that went down in ’93, but since the Revolutionary Tribunals took place over in Rennes they haven’t had a suitable target for revenge within range… until now. And as the Abbé Gudin warns us, if a ghost can catch hold of anybody he will take him for his companion.
• There are megalithic structures all over Brittany, and the whole province is obsessed with St. Anne of Auray, who is known for her sacred well. Obviously St. Anne is the current manifestation of a primeval chthonic deity living in the groundwater system, and Abbé Gudin should summon her to fuck Corentin with her tentacles.
• Speaking of megalithic structures, there’s an entire island of goats with a giant tomb in the middle covered in mysterious inscriptions, and the Chouans run around in goatskins. They’re clearly the descendants of an ancient weregoat cult. And weregoats are known for their insatiable sexual appetites. It’s not like the Chouans observe the rules of war to begin with, and captured spies wouldn’t be entitled to any mercy even if they did…
• Perhaps Hulot needs to go undercover as a Chouan to rescue him, but the only way for him to allay their suspicions is to rape Corentin himself so he can claim him as his personal war prize and spirit him away to safety.
• Or maybe Corentin offers himself up for rape to save Marie from the same fate. I think he wouldn’t be too fussed about the prospect of her being raped – shit happens, life goes on – but Marie being Marie she might insist that she’d commit suicide rather than live with the dishonor (she does have that knife in her luggage, after all), and that would worry him, perhaps enough for him to volunteer himself in her place. And Marie being Marie she’d be utterly ungrateful afterwards.
• The Simeuse twins and the d'Hauteserre brothers are stuck in a cave with nothing to do, and it’s not like they can let Corentin and Peyrade go if they discover their hiding place. So I guess they’d better gang rape them instead (or maybe just Corentin, if Peyrade is too old and unrefined for their tastes. He can watch.)
• Michu has a lot of anger issues, and maybe some repressed sexual desire for Laurence. Of course that attraction is one he could never act on, but there is another posh blond available. When he comes across Corentin and Peyrade at the hideout, he has a perfect opportunity to take his revenge! Perhaps he’s initially planning to kill them, but Corentin manages to persuade him to rape him or let Peyrade rape him instead? Corentin might view it as no more than a temporary inconvenience and nothing to trouble Peyrade, especially since Peyrade’s not the one who has to get penetrated, but I think Peyrade would find Corentin’s blasé attitude towards his own rape disturbing, especially for what it might suggest about Corentin’s previous sexual experience…
• Laurence’s pleasant aristocratic idyll was ruined, her loyal bailiff was executed on a false charge, she was forced to suck up to Napoleon to save the lives of her four boyfriends, and now they’re off risking their lives fighting for the usurper on the battlefields of Europe (or have already lost them). She has a list of grievances as long as her arm, and prudent though it might be, I can’t believe the honor of the Cinq-Cygnes would allow the matter to rest with the score standing 5-1 Corentin. Since Corentin is under Fouché’s protection she might not be able to damage his career even with Talleyrand’s help, but hey, there’s always rape! Possibly kinky rape – after all, she’s already whipped Corentin with a riding crop. If she’d prefer to preserve her hymen for whichever of her suitors survives the Napoleonic Wars, cunnilingus, pegging and object insertion are available options.
• Vautrin vowed to avenge his precious Lucien, and he canonically enjoys daddy kink and manhandling Corentin and ordering the children of his enemies raped. I think it’s pretty clear where this relationship is headed. Or maybe he averts that whole sorry outcome by capturing Corentin and/or Peyrade before Lucien’s arrest. Surely raping Corentin or forcing Peyrade to rape him would be a more direct and effective strategy for achieving his goals than kidnapping poor Lydie?

Gérard and Merle are great and Balzac was very mean to kill them off like that. Clearly this situation calls for fix-it fic… where they get gang raped instead!
It’s such a waste just to shoot them. They're disarmed, they're surrounded by enemies – the royalists would be foolish to squander this opportunity.
• The Chouans can probably take out their sexual urges on the local goats but the aristocrats are too classy to fuck livestock and Madame du Gua doesn't have eyes for anyone but Montauran. Given the speed with which both Montauran and Bauvan fall for Marie, it’s clear all these people are desperately sexually frustrated. (Madame du Gua too, since Montauran won’t have her.) Thank goodness two perfect victims showed up just in time for the after-dinner entertainment.
• Speaking of Marie, she’s been giving everyone some serious blue balls. Politesse might demand they don’t rape a woman of semi-aristocratic birth, but the codes of chivalry extend no such protections to the captured Blue officers. Maybe Gérard and Merle are even generous enough to offer themselves to protect Marie, despite the fact that she led them and their men into this deadly trap. Or maybe obscure aristocratic rules mean only homosexual rape is permissible, so Madame du Gua gets Marie and all the men have to make do with the Blues while lusting after her.
• Double the victims means double the angst! Gérard is the type to prefer death over dishonor, but Merle seems like he’d take it all in stride, maybe even get into the orgy a bit. Surely having their friend and possible lover witness their rape makes everything more fraught for both of them. Does Gérard judge Merle for his more relaxed attitude towards his personal honor? Does Merle feel like a coward because unlike Gérard he isn’t willing to die rather than submit? And then there’s the possibility of using them against each other. Merle could volunteer for rape to spare Gérard the humiliation that he feels so much more acutely, or he could be forced to rape Gérard against Gérard’s wishes to save his life.
• And what about the Chouans in all this? Did they rape the Blue contingent outside instead of killing them, so Gérard and Merle have to listen to the mass rape of their men while contemplating their own probable future? Does Gérard demand to be raped in this AU so he can share their fate? Or did the Chouans slaughter all the soldiers in the confidence that their leaders would turn Gérard and Merle over to them to fuck once they were finished with them themselves?
• Maybe the aristocrats bring the Blues outside and rape them before an appreciative audience, as a little moral booster for their troops. Or maybe the code of chivalry forbids them from raping captured officers themselves but says nothing about them watching Chouans do it. Or maybe they should save them up, and make their public rape the centerpiece of the upcoming ball.
• What if they decide to have a bit of sport, and release Gérard and Merle with a head start to make their way to Fougères if they can – with the promise that they’ll hunt them down and rape them if they’re caught? The Chouans are called chasseurs du roi for a reason, after all.
• What if some or all of that stuff happens and also the Chouans are randy weregoats?
• Alternatively, maybe the National Guards from Fougères don't get back to La Pellerine in time, the Blues lose the battle, and Gérard and Merle are captured. Perhaps Hulot is too, and he’s forced to watch as Chouans fuck his dear friends and lieutenants.
• Perhaps it’s an interrogation technique? The Gars needs to know the army’s plans, and he might turn to rape if more conventional methods fail. (Madame du Gua’s suggestion, probably; I doubt Montauran is bright or evil enough to think of the idea himself.) Maybe he threatens to rape one of them to get information from the other? Or threatens to hand them over to the Chouans for rape? Once they’ve shifted into their goat forms, perhaps, if the threat of being raped by humans doesn’t achieve the desired results. Or maybe it’s all a way of trying to break Hulot.
• What if Gérard and Merle survive their escort mission long enough to make it back to Fougères, but the town subsequently falls to the enemy? Gérard and Merle could be raped alongside Corentin! They could be raped in place of Corentin, because even though he’s a supercilious little coxcomb of a spy who gets on their last nerve, he’s still a civilian and it’s their duty to place their bodies between him and any danger. Or maybe Gudin is captured too, and they have to offer themselves to shield their young recruit.

Nazi apologism. EatD strikes a delicate balance of humanizing the German characters while making it clear that all of them, not just Reinicke, are the servants of a deeply evil regime. I'm not sure how likely the question is to arise in a fic in which people are being raped by tentacles, but if it does come up I’d prefer for you to strike the same balance.
Also, I’m making an exception to my general snuff DNW for this fandom, because sometimes eldritch oceanic entities need to fuck people with tentacles and then drown them, that’s just how it goes.

As we know from literature, the waters around the island of Guernsey are full of pieuvres eager to draw unlucky sailors into their many-armed embrace. We know also that the vast energies of the ocean are directed by some unknowable and perhaps hostile intelligence to purposes beyond our comprehension. Between their desperate struggle against an enemy that has them hopelessly outgunned, their general bad luck and their specific psychological problems, Peter Porteous and the Martel siblings seem perfectly poised for an unpleasantly tentacley encounter with Victor Hugo’s supernatural and sentient ocean.
• Peter, Clare and Clive are pretty, hapless, and spend a lot of time messing about on beaches in the dark – just the sort of situation where one might accidentally slip a foot into the water, and then feel a tentacle coil around one’s ankle, and then be dragged down into the depths by a sex-crazed octopus.
• Clare spilled blood on the beach at La Corbière, in a manner rather reminiscent of a human sacrifice. What if Kessler’s death summons something? And of course a loyal brother like Clive couldn’t leave his sister to face down a tentacle monster alone…
• Guernsey has a godawful coast for small boats. How did Clive get that raid safely ashore, and what price did he pay for it? No doubt a local boy would know how to bargain with the genius loci to win the British commandos safe passage through the rocks, though perhaps not enough to make L’Océan keep the deal in his absence…
• Why did Clare go back to the beach at La Corbière? Was L’Océan calling her into its tentacley embrace? Maybe her catatonia isn’t a manifestation of her depression, but rather a magical ailment brought on by being interrupted in her quest. And in that case, clearly the only solution is for her to escape from the convent and return to the sea.
• On occasion, L’Océan has been known to transform depressives into psychic sex octopuses or imprison them in its watery domain. Will Peter be able to find Clare and figure out how to rescue her (spoiler: it involves tentacle sex) or is she doomed to remain a captive and/or octopus for all eternity?
• Fix-it AU! Perhaps Peter wasn’t shot getting into his boat, but rather shot out of it. When he falls bleeding into the water, L’Océan offers to save him from drowning, but at a terrible price. Perhaps Clare dreams of him in the convent and realizes she needs to snap out of her depression and rescue him, Tam Lin style. But she’ll have to brave all the tentacles of the Guernsey reefs to set him free.

There’s something very appealing about the idea of the island of Guernsey just… rejecting its invaders. The Nazis assume the occupation is going to be a doddle – no Allied bombing, no armies to fight, no real threat from the Resistance so long as Peter Porteous is in charge – and then suddenly they’ve got tentacles coming at them. What tentacles? That’s up to you. Maybe it’s L’Océan and its army of pieuvres, maybe the islanders have summoned Rollo’s ghost to avenge them, maybe it’s an invasion of alien plants, maybe it’s a science experiment gone wrong. But in any case, neither Richter and Freidel’s administrative talents nor Reinicke’s enthusiasm for war crimes are going to get them out of this one.
• Reinicke strikes me as a prime candidate for tentacling, both because he’s the person most likely to offend the gods and trigger some fairy tale retribution through rudeness, arrogance, or flat-out murder, and because tentacle monsters presumably have eyes and agree that he’d look pretty stuffed at both ends with some nice thick tentacles. He wears very tight breeches and he’s a terrible person – what more invitation do they need? (Also, despite the French girlfriend he seems like the one most likely to be a virgin.)
• Which leaves the others with a dilemma about whether or not to rescue him. Richter would probably grudgingly resign himself to making the attempt, but not before a few minutes of not-entirely-facetious debate about it with Freidel and Kluge.
• Does Reinicke even want to be rescued? He has huge bottom energy but from 1942 getting caught with a dick up his ass is a capital offense. Also, although he’s not always perfectly doctrinaire when it comes to his private life, I imagine violating the prohibition against homosexuality would at least give him pause. But no one can blame him if he’s attacked by a giant octopus, right? Even if he enjoys it much more than he should.
• Then again, perhaps it’s Reinicke who has to rescue everybody. Along with his vigilance against the scourge of nineteenth century Jewish composers, he does have a knack for identifying genuine security threats. Perhaps he is the only one to recognize the danger of tentacles before it’s too late, and he has to find a way to save the others. (Probably a fate worse than tentacle rape, from Richter’s perspective.)
• On the other hand, Richter is in command, and if there are vengeful spirits to appease I’m sure he’d step up and take responsibility for the occupation and nobly sacrifice himself for his men. (Müller, I feel, would volunteer Richter.) Is he exasperated by yet another futile act of resistance – really, does Guernsey think a bit of tentacle rape is going to drive the German army back to Berlin with its tail between its legs? – or does he accept this retribution as their due, perhaps even embrace it as a penance for sins he cannot acknowledge but knows in his heart will damn them?

Perhaps the National Guard managed to take the barricade earlier and arrested some of the other Amis as well – all the better to have leverage over Enjolras.
I got a splendid fic for these prompts last year, but frankly I’m greedy, and how could I resist the “Motive - Rape Because Captor Thinks Captive is Pretty” tag? Sorry, Enjolras.
• I’m sure the National Guard have a lot of pent-up resentment over the events of the past two days. They were decimated by their stupid charge the night before and nearly blown to bits by Marius’s suicide bomber ploy, and the whole insurrection was started on a nonsensical pretext by some jerks who tried to steal a coffin from a dead war hero’s grieving family.
What better way to vent their feelings than to gang rape the leader of the barricade? It’s infuriating that Enjolras, the instigator of all this carnage and someone of a higher social class than most of the men he’s fighting, came through the battle unscathed when so many good men lost their lives – wouldn’t he look better all bruised up and wrecked from being fucked raw in every hole?
• Maybe after a good hard spanking with someone’s leather shoulder belt?
• If he’s too mouthy or he tries to bite they can always gag him with a bayonet.
• How do Enjolras’ surviving friends feel about all this? Do the National Guardsmen rape him in front of them, taunting them with their inability to help him (or the reverse)? Maybe they’d prefer to force one of his friends to rape him instead, or to make Enjolras choose between them. Combeferre seems like he’d be particularly unhappy about it, but also pragmatic enough and dedicated enough to saving lives that he would do it to save Enjolras from execution, even over Enjolras’ own protests.
• Or perhaps the Guardsmen are scrupulously professional and take Enjolras to the Prefecture of Police without harming a hair on his head so that Gisquet can decide what to do with him. As a barricadeur himself only two years prior, the prefect might have some sympathy for the young revolutionary. Maybe he’d prefer to let him go, either because Enjolras' family intervened on his behalf or because Enjolras seems like a nice if misguided kid and it'd be a shame if one poor choice ruined his whole life. All he needs is a small proof of Enjolras’ good faith… in the form of a blowjob. Enjolras must decide between taking this grubby deal or denying Patria his future services.
• Or maybe it’s Enjolras who comes up with the idea of the grubby deal, offering up his virgin ass in exchange for a friend’s life or freedom. True, he’s inexperienced at pleasuring another, but teaching him the ropes could be half the fun – maybe if he’s good Gisquet will even throw in a short course on how to stage a successful revolution. (If he’s bad or he’s too mouthy about politics, Gisquet can always knock him back into line with a spanking – or by reminding him of the threat against his friend). And one day, if Enjolras can wield enough influence as Gisquet’s catamite, he might even be able to win the prefect over to the republican side…
• But why bother with deals when Gisquet can simply take what he wants? After all, he is the Prefect of Police, he’s had an extremely trying week, he deserves some R&R, and Enjolras is his (very pretty) prisoner. There’s really no need to negotiate here, even if he has to call in some of his men to hold the boy down. (It’s hard to do with one hand, even with Enjolras handcuffed.)
• Once the National Guards or the prefect have Enjolras well broken-in, it should be safe to hand him off to some politician or a member of the royal court as spoils of war. Maybe there should be an auction, to raise money for the government. After experiencing the harsh consequences of disobedience Enjolras would never dare to rebel and turn on his new masters… right?

Much like my need for Enjolras to be fucked in every hole by the National Guard, my craving for Javert/Javert’s superiors noncon is inexhaustible.
To me the most interesting thing about Javert’s character is the tension between the person he believes he should be (an authoritarian follower who blindly obeys the orders of his superiors) and the person he actually is (a guy with a strong through misaligned moral compass who gets into vicious arguments over the fate of prostitutes or resigns from life in a fit of temper the moment he receives an order he doesn’t like). And what better way to highlight that tension with visceral intensity than for his superiors to demand sex he doesn’t want?
I’m guaranteed to love absolutely any fic where Javert’s superiors fuck him and he’s unhappy about it, but here are some prompts all the same:
• Gisquet and Chabouillet are playing office politics at a level way over Javert’s head, but Javert’s obliviousness won’t stop Gisquet from fucking him or punishing him to retaliate against Chabouillet. Raping Chabouillet’s beloved protégé is a great way to remind everyone that no matter how long certain people may have worked at the Prefecture and how accustomed they may be to pulling the strings, Henri Gisquet is the Prefect of Police and they are all ultimately under his orders. (If he really wants to make the point, he could fuck Javert in front of Chabouillet, or order Chabouillet to do it.)
• Javert is showing far too much interest in one escaped convict and far too little interest in pleasing his superiors. Whether it’s in Montreuil after Valjean reveals himself or he’s recaptured in Paris, the police have got hold of Valjean somehow, and Chabouillet and/or Gisquet won’t waste this opportunity to remind Javert where his priorities should really lie. Perhaps they fuck Javert or punish him in front of his nemesis to show ex-Mayor Madeleine to whom his police inspector truly belongs, or they order Javert to rape Valjean or do other terrible things to him. In any case, I’m sure they’ll find some compelling way to convince Javert that ultimately convicts don’t matter and the goodwill of his superiors very much does.
Will Javert go along with it all, or will his conscience or his possessive feelings towards Valjean push him into open rebellion? And if so, will his superiors succeed in crushing him back into submission again?
• AU where Javert is a slave and he belongs to the police literally as well as figuratively. Is he at the disposal of the whole force, or is fucking him a privilege reserved for Chabouillet or the prefect? What happens if some inferior officers force him to service them anyway? Does Chabouillet defend Javert, or does he just punish him for his promiscuity?
• Even if he’s not actually a slave, Javert owes his career to his patron’s willingness to take a chance on a bagne guard with a very questionable background, and he has an almost religious level of deference to the prefect. He’s not going to refuse them any sexual favors they might ask of him. But just how long has this abuse been going on, and how did Javert convince Chabouillet to take him on in the first place? And what happens if a third party (another policeman? Gisquet as the newly appointed Prefect of Police?) finds out about it? Maybe there’s something Chabouillet can offer Gisquet to keep himself from being sacked on the spot…

I’m always up for seeing Enjolras gang raped by soldiers, but what really interests me with the BBC barricade is how the presence of Despiat as a co-leader changes the class dynamics. Instead of a nameless group of workers being led by bourgeois students, as in Hugo’s rather revisionist version of events, we have a barricade where the core, identifiable group of fighters is almost evenly split between workers (Despiat, the black guy in the beret) and the Amis, who seem earnest but a bit overwhelmed by the situation.
Furthermore, it’s only the army attacking the barricade. The petit bourgeois National Guard never show up (maybe in the BBCverse they are less enthusiastic supporters of Louis-Philippe and refused to muster?), so it’s just the army: working class conscripts from all over France pitted against the workers of Paris. I imagine this changes things in the event that the barricade is taken and some of the insurgents are captured.
• Do the soldiers have some sympathy for the economic plight of the workers, and share Despiat’s disdain for the bourgeois students playing at revolution? Maybe they respect Despiat and the others too much to rape them, and reserve such degrading treatment for Enjolras. They can mock him for having a peasant’s dick up his ass – bet posh boy never thought he’d end up in this position, eh? Hell, he probably bought his way out of conscription. That’s not looking like such a clever choice now.
• Or maybe they’re afraid of what the students’ rich families with their connections and their lawyers might do to them if they hurt them, and leave them scrupulously alone while taking their rapey revenge on Despiat.
• In either case, someone is going to have to watch the other group get raped and feel guilty about how they’re powerless to help their comrades and how their class status is protecting them from sharing their terrible fate.
• But despair not, maybe everyone can get raped! The soldiers were under orders to put down the rebellion, but they do have some sympathy with the cause. All those months of spreading republican propaganda among the regiments and lamenting the fates of starving veterans were not in vain. They can’t let Despiat overthrow the government, but look, he can still take his revenge on one bourgeois. And he’d better do it, too, if he and Enjolras want to live another hour.
• Or maybe Despiat nobly offers himself for rape in place of his young friend. That’s a terrible beard Quinjolras has; the troops won’t be missing out on much. (Maybe they should shave Enjolras’s beard and then fuck him.)

I love Rivette and between trying to talk some sense into his lunatic boss and pining for that same lunatic boss who will only ever have eyes for Jean Valjean his life is pretty miserable already, so naturally my first priority is finding some ways to make it worse.
• Being captured and raped by republican insurgents would definitely make it worse! In the scene where Javert comes back to the Prefecture Rivette is hastily buttoning up his coat – what if he went out undercover to look for Javert and in this AU found his way to the Rue de la Chanvrerie barricade? Having unmasked Javert the Amis are probably on the lookout for police spies, and maybe someone recognizes Rivette, or he’s unable to contain his gasp of dismay at the sight of his beloved chief tied to a post and gives himself away.
Quinjolras seems fanatical and ruthless but also somewhat out of his depth, which is a sure recipe for atrocities in this kind of situation. Maybe the Amis question Rivette about the army’s plans and turn to rape as an interrogation technique. Maybe they’ve been questioning Javert unsuccessfully (since Javert was paying attention to nothing but Valjean and doesn’t actually know anything), and they rape Rivette to try to break Javert. Or maybe they just want to punish Rivette for spying. In any case, no one but Enjolras is particularly keen to die in this fight but it’s probably beginning to dawn on the group that the rebellion is unlikely to end well, and they need to take their bitterness out on someone. Perhaps Enjolras tries to restrain them at first, but the situation quickly escalates beyond his control.
• Despiat is quite angry about the state of society and the police are the enforcers of capitalism’s hierarchy, so maybe he should be the barricade’s designated point man for raping spies. Perhaps he takes Rivette away from the Amis to deal with him himself – either because the young students are too soft and incompetent, or to protect Rivette because they’re getting out of control. Or maybe it’s their innocence that he wants to protect – annoyed though he may be by their revolutionary dilettantism, he might still want to prevent the kids from doing something they’ll later regret. (Not that they’re going to have much of a “later”.)
• It makes everything so much worse that all this is happening in front of Rivette’s beloved boss. This is not how Rivette wanted senpai to notice him! Most likely Javert is already cross and disappointed that Rivette disobeyed orders by coming to look for him and then was incompetent enough to get himself captured. (Deep down of course he’s terrified for his subordinate’s safety and wellbeing, but he’s very good at concealing his concern from himself and especially from Rivette.) How much less will Javert think of him if Rivette fails to take his rape(s) with the courage and stoicism expected of Paris’ finest?
• Perhaps rape is the price for letting Rivette go, or letting Javert go, or letting both of them go. Perhaps the insurgents will only release them if Javert agrees to rape Rivette, or maybe it’s a “Fuck or die” situation. With regard to himself Javert would be perfectly happy to die, of course, but he can’t be so cavalier with Rivette’s life – and he’s probably cross about that too.
• What if Despiat is secretly a police agent? In the novel the person agitating most violently against the government was an agent provocateur, and Despiat doesn’t stick around to die with his republican comrades. Rivette says the police had a report that Javert was captured by the rebels, but who could have told them that except one of the people who left the barricade? Or maybe Despait’s a double agent sent by the revolutionaries to spy on the police, or a defector who was won over by the republicans’ arguments. Anyway, if things go wrong between him and his handler Rivette, it could lead to noncon.
• A "rivette" is 1830s slang for a pederast, and it would a tragic missed opportunity if none of Rivette's enemies take a moment to mock him for it.

Chauvelin is furiously resentful over Marguerite, Percy’s counterrevolutionary activities, and his own repeated failures to capture the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Percy canonically cuts off most of Chauvelin’s clothes and then orders him stripped with disproportionate relish. These two clearly need to fuck. Maybe Chauvelin uses noncon as an interrogation technique or their next fight escalates all the way to hatesex, or maybe Chauvelin’s revolutionary colleagues need to give them a little nudge in the right direction by locking them in a cell together and ordering them to fuck or die. Or maybe they start in on Percy of their own accord, and Chauvelin is confronted with some difficult choices.
• Solitary confinement never quite succeeded in breaking Percy, so Chauvelin needs to try something else. The new revolutionary legislation outlaws torture as an interrogation technique, but it doesn’t say anything about denying sexual gratification. And I bet Chauvelin with his genteel manner and his impressive self-control (as long as he’s winning) would be really good at edging.
• Percy is completely and deliberately insufferable, and sooner or later someone is going to realize that the best way to make him shut up is to fill his mouth with their dick. (Or a bayonet gag; that would work too.)
• Percy is all too eager to demonstrate his superiority with a sword – why not drop the metaphor and prove it with his dick? He can win a physical fight with Chauvelin whenever he likes, and he’s already at the point of cutting his clothes off him. It’s just a hop, skip and a jump from there to full-on noncon, especially if he wants to get his own back for the aforementioned edging incident. And of course Sir Percy Blakeney is far too much of a gentleman not to make sure his partner enjoys it.
• Honestly, this whole thing seems likely to evolve into a regular arrangement where every time one of them takes the other captive, he gets to fuck his prisoner as a prize for winning the engagement. Percy probably doesn't mind at all because hatesex is fun and it makes for a great diversion from whatever his real scheme is, but I bet it really bothers Chauvelin, even though he pretends it doesn't because it would disgrace the Republic to react to a temporary defeat with less equanimity than Percy. So Percy just thinks he's found a new way to be annoying and keeps doing it, but meanwhile Chauvelin is (as usual in Pimpernel-related situations) on the cusp of a nervous breakdown.
Will Percy ever realize that what he considers their amusing dubcon competition is being perceived by his adversary as outright rape? And if so, what’s he going to do about it?
• Chauvelin is being super sketchy about the whole Scarlet Pimpernel situation, especially if he goes with his bookverse plan of refusing to reveal the Pimpernel’s identity to his superiors. With such a long string of failures marring his otherwise competent record, his revolutionary comrades could be excused for wondering whether he’s been letting the English spy slip through his fingers on purpose. Perhaps he’s even joined the League himself! 1982 Chauvelin reads as bourgeois to me, but his class origins are never confirmed in canon, and if you go with his aristocratic bookverse background his colleagues have even more reason to suspect him.
Maybe someone else has managed to capture the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Robespierre demands that Chauvelin prove his loyalty… with his dick. Maybe Hébertists have got hold of Percy and Chauvelin both, and Chauvelin has to prove the revolutionary commitment of the entire Robespierrist faction to the Hard Left by fucking Percy in front of them.
• Or maybe the Committee of Public Safety has condemned Chauvelin already, and his punishment for failing to capture the accursed Pimpernel is for said Pimpernel to fuck him. Heck, maybe they don’t care who fucks who; maybe this is more of a straightforward “If you love that English spy so much why don’t you marry him?” situation where Chauvelin and Percy are thrust into a cell together and ordered to fuck at bayonet-point, but the precise logistics are left up to them. (How much they’re actually being victimized here versus seizing a long-sought excuse to jump each others’ bones is up to you.)
• Perhaps the revolutionaries haven’t captured Percy after all, but rather the Scarlet Pimpernel has disguised himself as a member of the tribunal, and he realizes the only way to save Chauvelin from the crowd baying for his blood is to fuck him for revolutionary justice. After all, his sense of noblesse oblige would never permit him to let another man die for something that Percy himself did, even if that something was repeatedly evading Chauvelin’s attempts to deliver him to the guillotine.
• Or maybe it’s Chauvelin who needs to save Percy. What if his men have captured the pretty Pimpernel and he comes upon a rape already in progress? Will he intervene to stop it, or will he wait until they’ve finished so he can come in and comfort Percy and clean his wounds and try to induce Stockholm Syndrome? And will it work, or will he find himself sympathizing with his hated adversary despite himself? There’s no triumph in defeating an enemy who has already been broken – perhaps it would be better to let Percy slip away this time and capture him again later?

Fouché's relationship to Corentin is fascinating to me, in part because canon only gives us tiny glimpses of it (with tantalizing phrases like “this fellow belonged to Fouché” and “Corentin was not the counsellor of this minister, but his damned soul” and “he rewarded Corentin lavishly after every service”) and in part because in real life Fouché is creepy as fuck and presumably this translates to him being creepy as fuck with Corentin in the Comédie Humaineverse as well.
• Did they hook up (figuratively or literally) when Corentin was a schoolboy in Vendôme? What attracted Fouché to Corentin in the first place? Corentin would have been 7-10 and Fouché was teaching logic to high schoolers – something must have happened for a child so much younger than his own students to catch his eye. Was Corentin just that dazzlingly clever, or did Fouché save him from another molesty priest only to groom him for himself?
• Did Corentin come to him at age 14 when his school was broken up by the new revolutionary legislation? Perhaps in desperation after trying and failing to support himself for a while – and what could a schoolboy with a classical education and no practical skills do but sell his body to Enragés eager to take out their frustrations on a child prostitute with aristocratic manners? (Okay, lots of things, but this is Nonconathon.) Did Fouché bring fifteen-year-old Corentin along to Lyon to help
• Fouché loves his ugly, frumpy wife so much, and she loves him back, in a charming wholesome way that becomes completely horrifying once you pan out and notice they are smooching atop a pile of corpses. If he’s a sexual sadist or abusing his judicial authority gets him hard, he definitely wouldn’t want to slake his darker lusts on dear Bonne-Jeanne. What a good thing he has a teenage protégé! Alternatively, Bonne-Jeanne totally knows and regards Fouché fucking Corentin with her usual thisisfine.gif serenity – maybe he even brings Corentin into the bedroom so she can watch on days when she’s not in the mood for PIV – and Corentin has to deal with all the adults in his life treating his sexual abuse (and the Terror) like it’s completely healthy and normal.
• What if Corentin really is Fouché’s demonic familiar and a Citizen of Hell? Maybe when Fouché was raiding churches during the Terror he stole a relic that gives him control of the demon Corentin (named for the saint who first bound him, of course), and he’s been using Corentin as his instrument ever since. And of course, the enslaved demon can no more refuse an order to sexually pleasure his master than any other kind.
• This makes things a bit tricky when Fouché sends his agent out into the provinces to put down royalist insurrections – naturally Fouché can’t entrust his pet demon with the relic – but maybe there’s a way to temporarily transfer the obedience spell to another master? If the military commandant of the department or a senior police colleague were to fuck Corentin, for instance?
• Or maybe that’s just the standard way the French government persuades the military and the police to get along.
• How old are the Paris Prefecture Trash Party traditions, anyway? Did Fouché hand off his twinky little protégé to Peyrade in the expectation that Peyrade would take the sexual advantage he's entitled to by rank? Or is it a subtle threat to keep his more experienced subordinate in line: ”Displease me and you too could be passed around the Ministry of Police like a cheap whore”? Peyrade wouldn't dare to vex a man like Fouché by refusing his generous offer, and for his part Corentin wouldn’t want to disappoint his master or his kind new mentor, he’s good at hiding his feelings, and Fouché may have taught him his consent doesn’t matter. It might take Peyrade a while to realize that his new boytoy is less than enthusiastic – perhaps not until alcohol or a frightening situation loosens Corentin’s tongue?
• That fruitless domiciliary visit in Une ténébreuse affaire was a bit of a fiasco, wasn’t it? Corentin needs to be punished.
• Or just generally taken down a peg. He’s such a smug, cocky little twerp, and maybe Fouché doesn’t like him parading those skin-tight breeches before the entire world… He’ll have to enforce some discipline, especially if Corentin’s overconfidence leads him to fail a mission. The ferule might be enough for a schoolboy, but a grown-up police agent requires a more severe correction.

At base this request is just your standard, garden variety character whump, but for me the great appeal of having Corentin raped, apart from the sheer diversity of characters and personalities who would probably like to do it, is how noncon would interact with Corentin’s weird brain. I’m sure most of his enemies would take the traditional view that it’s a terrible humiliation and dishonor and a way of displaying their power and dominance over him (perhaps reasserting a hierarchy that Corentin had disrupted with his machinations), but I’m not sure Corentin would see it that way, or mind for the reasons they think he’d mind, or react the way they’re hoping he’d react.
How does he feel about it? Does he invite rape deliberately as a way of averting a worse outcome, or one with more lasting consequences? Can he stop trolling everyone long enough to avoid making things worse for himself? Does he plan to take some horrible revenge on his rapists, or does he just shrug it off as a bad day at the office?
• As her noble chevalier, Montauran should take revenge on Marie’s behalf for all the years Corentin spent hanging around her and murdering her boyfriends like a creepy incel despite her total and clearly communicated lack of romantic interest, or for that stunt he pulled with the fake letter. Maybe Corentin follows Marie to the ball and gets captured, or maybe he pursues the lovers into Marie’s house in Fougères and gets in over his head. (Hulot already made it pretty clear he’s not going in after him, though perhaps he’d change his mind if his least favorite bratty spy took too long to emerge? Of course, after the rescue he might have to punish Corentin for taking such a stupid risk.) Maybe Marie would like to watch.
• Fougères had a bloody history of Chouannerie, Terror and republican counterinsurgency long before Corentin arrived. No doubt there are a lot of unquiet royalist spirits haunting the town after all the shit that went down in ’93, but since the Revolutionary Tribunals took place over in Rennes they haven’t had a suitable target for revenge within range… until now. And as the Abbé Gudin warns us, if a ghost can catch hold of anybody he will take him for his companion.
• There are megalithic structures all over Brittany, and the whole province is obsessed with St. Anne of Auray, who is known for her sacred well. Obviously St. Anne is the current manifestation of a primeval chthonic deity living in the groundwater system, and Abbé Gudin should summon her to fuck Corentin with her tentacles.
• Speaking of megalithic structures, there’s an entire island of goats with a giant tomb in the middle covered in mysterious inscriptions, and the Chouans run around in goatskins. They’re clearly the descendants of an ancient weregoat cult. And weregoats are known for their insatiable sexual appetites. It’s not like the Chouans observe the rules of war to begin with, and captured spies wouldn’t be entitled to any mercy even if they did…
• Perhaps Hulot needs to go undercover as a Chouan to rescue him, but the only way for him to allay their suspicions is to rape Corentin himself so he can claim him as his personal war prize and spirit him away to safety.
• Or maybe Corentin offers himself up for rape to save Marie from the same fate. I think he wouldn’t be too fussed about the prospect of her being raped – shit happens, life goes on – but Marie being Marie she might insist that she’d commit suicide rather than live with the dishonor (she does have that knife in her luggage, after all), and that would worry him, perhaps enough for him to volunteer himself in her place. And Marie being Marie she’d be utterly ungrateful afterwards.
• The Simeuse twins and the d'Hauteserre brothers are stuck in a cave with nothing to do, and it’s not like they can let Corentin and Peyrade go if they discover their hiding place. So I guess they’d better gang rape them instead (or maybe just Corentin, if Peyrade is too old and unrefined for their tastes. He can watch.)
• Michu has a lot of anger issues, and maybe some repressed sexual desire for Laurence. Of course that attraction is one he could never act on, but there is another posh blond available. When he comes across Corentin and Peyrade at the hideout, he has a perfect opportunity to take his revenge! Perhaps he’s initially planning to kill them, but Corentin manages to persuade him to rape him or let Peyrade rape him instead? Corentin might view it as no more than a temporary inconvenience and nothing to trouble Peyrade, especially since Peyrade’s not the one who has to get penetrated, but I think Peyrade would find Corentin’s blasé attitude towards his own rape disturbing, especially for what it might suggest about Corentin’s previous sexual experience…
• Laurence’s pleasant aristocratic idyll was ruined, her loyal bailiff was executed on a false charge, she was forced to suck up to Napoleon to save the lives of her four boyfriends, and now they’re off risking their lives fighting for the usurper on the battlefields of Europe (or have already lost them). She has a list of grievances as long as her arm, and prudent though it might be, I can’t believe the honor of the Cinq-Cygnes would allow the matter to rest with the score standing 5-1 Corentin. Since Corentin is under Fouché’s protection she might not be able to damage his career even with Talleyrand’s help, but hey, there’s always rape! Possibly kinky rape – after all, she’s already whipped Corentin with a riding crop. If she’d prefer to preserve her hymen for whichever of her suitors survives the Napoleonic Wars, cunnilingus, pegging and object insertion are available options.
• Vautrin vowed to avenge his precious Lucien, and he canonically enjoys daddy kink and manhandling Corentin and ordering the children of his enemies raped. I think it’s pretty clear where this relationship is headed. Or maybe he averts that whole sorry outcome by capturing Corentin and/or Peyrade before Lucien’s arrest. Surely raping Corentin or forcing Peyrade to rape him would be a more direct and effective strategy for achieving his goals than kidnapping poor Lydie?

Gérard and Merle are great and Balzac was very mean to kill them off like that. Clearly this situation calls for fix-it fic… where they get gang raped instead!
It’s such a waste just to shoot them. They're disarmed, they're surrounded by enemies – the royalists would be foolish to squander this opportunity.
• The Chouans can probably take out their sexual urges on the local goats but the aristocrats are too classy to fuck livestock and Madame du Gua doesn't have eyes for anyone but Montauran. Given the speed with which both Montauran and Bauvan fall for Marie, it’s clear all these people are desperately sexually frustrated. (Madame du Gua too, since Montauran won’t have her.) Thank goodness two perfect victims showed up just in time for the after-dinner entertainment.
• Speaking of Marie, she’s been giving everyone some serious blue balls. Politesse might demand they don’t rape a woman of semi-aristocratic birth, but the codes of chivalry extend no such protections to the captured Blue officers. Maybe Gérard and Merle are even generous enough to offer themselves to protect Marie, despite the fact that she led them and their men into this deadly trap. Or maybe obscure aristocratic rules mean only homosexual rape is permissible, so Madame du Gua gets Marie and all the men have to make do with the Blues while lusting after her.
• Double the victims means double the angst! Gérard is the type to prefer death over dishonor, but Merle seems like he’d take it all in stride, maybe even get into the orgy a bit. Surely having their friend and possible lover witness their rape makes everything more fraught for both of them. Does Gérard judge Merle for his more relaxed attitude towards his personal honor? Does Merle feel like a coward because unlike Gérard he isn’t willing to die rather than submit? And then there’s the possibility of using them against each other. Merle could volunteer for rape to spare Gérard the humiliation that he feels so much more acutely, or he could be forced to rape Gérard against Gérard’s wishes to save his life.
• And what about the Chouans in all this? Did they rape the Blue contingent outside instead of killing them, so Gérard and Merle have to listen to the mass rape of their men while contemplating their own probable future? Does Gérard demand to be raped in this AU so he can share their fate? Or did the Chouans slaughter all the soldiers in the confidence that their leaders would turn Gérard and Merle over to them to fuck once they were finished with them themselves?
• Maybe the aristocrats bring the Blues outside and rape them before an appreciative audience, as a little moral booster for their troops. Or maybe the code of chivalry forbids them from raping captured officers themselves but says nothing about them watching Chouans do it. Or maybe they should save them up, and make their public rape the centerpiece of the upcoming ball.
• What if they decide to have a bit of sport, and release Gérard and Merle with a head start to make their way to Fougères if they can – with the promise that they’ll hunt them down and rape them if they’re caught? The Chouans are called chasseurs du roi for a reason, after all.
• What if some or all of that stuff happens and also the Chouans are randy weregoats?
• Alternatively, maybe the National Guards from Fougères don't get back to La Pellerine in time, the Blues lose the battle, and Gérard and Merle are captured. Perhaps Hulot is too, and he’s forced to watch as Chouans fuck his dear friends and lieutenants.
• Perhaps it’s an interrogation technique? The Gars needs to know the army’s plans, and he might turn to rape if more conventional methods fail. (Madame du Gua’s suggestion, probably; I doubt Montauran is bright or evil enough to think of the idea himself.) Maybe he threatens to rape one of them to get information from the other? Or threatens to hand them over to the Chouans for rape? Once they’ve shifted into their goat forms, perhaps, if the threat of being raped by humans doesn’t achieve the desired results. Or maybe it’s all a way of trying to break Hulot.
• What if Gérard and Merle survive their escort mission long enough to make it back to Fougères, but the town subsequently falls to the enemy? Gérard and Merle could be raped alongside Corentin! They could be raped in place of Corentin, because even though he’s a supercilious little coxcomb of a spy who gets on their last nerve, he’s still a civilian and it’s their duty to place their bodies between him and any danger. Or maybe Gudin is captured too, and they have to offer themselves to shield their young recruit.

As we know from literature, the waters around the island of Guernsey are full of pieuvres eager to draw unlucky sailors into their many-armed embrace. We know also that the vast energies of the ocean are directed by some unknowable and perhaps hostile intelligence to purposes beyond our comprehension. Between their desperate struggle against an enemy that has them hopelessly outgunned, their general bad luck and their specific psychological problems, Peter Porteous and the Martel siblings seem perfectly poised for an unpleasantly tentacley encounter with Victor Hugo’s supernatural and sentient ocean.
• Peter, Clare and Clive are pretty, hapless, and spend a lot of time messing about on beaches in the dark – just the sort of situation where one might accidentally slip a foot into the water, and then feel a tentacle coil around one’s ankle, and then be dragged down into the depths by a sex-crazed octopus.
• Clare spilled blood on the beach at La Corbière, in a manner rather reminiscent of a human sacrifice. What if Kessler’s death summons something? And of course a loyal brother like Clive couldn’t leave his sister to face down a tentacle monster alone…
• Guernsey has a godawful coast for small boats. How did Clive get that raid safely ashore, and what price did he pay for it? No doubt a local boy would know how to bargain with the genius loci to win the British commandos safe passage through the rocks, though perhaps not enough to make L’Océan keep the deal in his absence…
• Why did Clare go back to the beach at La Corbière? Was L’Océan calling her into its tentacley embrace? Maybe her catatonia isn’t a manifestation of her depression, but rather a magical ailment brought on by being interrupted in her quest. And in that case, clearly the only solution is for her to escape from the convent and return to the sea.
• On occasion, L’Océan has been known to transform depressives into psychic sex octopuses or imprison them in its watery domain. Will Peter be able to find Clare and figure out how to rescue her (spoiler: it involves tentacle sex) or is she doomed to remain a captive and/or octopus for all eternity?
• Fix-it AU! Perhaps Peter wasn’t shot getting into his boat, but rather shot out of it. When he falls bleeding into the water, L’Océan offers to save him from drowning, but at a terrible price. Perhaps Clare dreams of him in the convent and realizes she needs to snap out of her depression and rescue him, Tam Lin style. But she’ll have to brave all the tentacles of the Guernsey reefs to set him free.

There’s something very appealing about the idea of the island of Guernsey just… rejecting its invaders. The Nazis assume the occupation is going to be a doddle – no Allied bombing, no armies to fight, no real threat from the Resistance so long as Peter Porteous is in charge – and then suddenly they’ve got tentacles coming at them. What tentacles? That’s up to you. Maybe it’s L’Océan and its army of pieuvres, maybe the islanders have summoned Rollo’s ghost to avenge them, maybe it’s an invasion of alien plants, maybe it’s a science experiment gone wrong. But in any case, neither Richter and Freidel’s administrative talents nor Reinicke’s enthusiasm for war crimes are going to get them out of this one.
• Reinicke strikes me as a prime candidate for tentacling, both because he’s the person most likely to offend the gods and trigger some fairy tale retribution through rudeness, arrogance, or flat-out murder, and because tentacle monsters presumably have eyes and agree that he’d look pretty stuffed at both ends with some nice thick tentacles. He wears very tight breeches and he’s a terrible person – what more invitation do they need? (Also, despite the French girlfriend he seems like the one most likely to be a virgin.)
• Which leaves the others with a dilemma about whether or not to rescue him. Richter would probably grudgingly resign himself to making the attempt, but not before a few minutes of not-entirely-facetious debate about it with Freidel and Kluge.
• Does Reinicke even want to be rescued? He has huge bottom energy but from 1942 getting caught with a dick up his ass is a capital offense. Also, although he’s not always perfectly doctrinaire when it comes to his private life, I imagine violating the prohibition against homosexuality would at least give him pause. But no one can blame him if he’s attacked by a giant octopus, right? Even if he enjoys it much more than he should.
• Then again, perhaps it’s Reinicke who has to rescue everybody. Along with his vigilance against the scourge of nineteenth century Jewish composers, he does have a knack for identifying genuine security threats. Perhaps he is the only one to recognize the danger of tentacles before it’s too late, and he has to find a way to save the others. (Probably a fate worse than tentacle rape, from Richter’s perspective.)
• On the other hand, Richter is in command, and if there are vengeful spirits to appease I’m sure he’d step up and take responsibility for the occupation and nobly sacrifice himself for his men. (Müller, I feel, would volunteer Richter.) Is he exasperated by yet another futile act of resistance – really, does Guernsey think a bit of tentacle rape is going to drive the German army back to Berlin with its tail between its legs? – or does he accept this retribution as their due, perhaps even embrace it as a penance for sins he cannot acknowledge but knows in his heart will damn them?
• Perhaps while Freidel looks on anxiously, after unsuccessfully trying to signal “No, Dieter, offering yourself up to the angry tentacle god is a terrible idea” with his eyes for the past ten minutes?
• I can’t get over the mental image of Müller whacking at the tentacles with his riding crop.
• The Clameur de Haro brings the full weight of the Guernésiais legal system down on an offender’s head, but what if it also summons something else? Like Rollo’s ghost, or magic that animates the local vegetation to bind and punish the wrongdoer?
• Tentacle regatta! What if in another attempt to improve morale among the islanders Richter resurrects the annual boat race to Herm, or something along those lines? Once the command staff are all out on the water together L’Océan can whip up a storm and have them all at once. (I don’t suppose it cares much about human conflicts, but it’s probably annoyed by the sea mines.)
• How do the Nazis feel about their tentacle-fucking afterwards, if they survive it? They’re so confident their technology and discipline will win the war for them – what does an encounter with magic do to that sense of security? Does taking it up the ass trigger a sexuality crisis in them? Are they all at loggerheads because Reinicke did in fact warn them about the tentacles, somewhere on his 3,000 item list of threats to the Reich sandwiched in between “Hit Christmas singles by Irving Berlin” and “Weregoats”?

Damn right, buddy; I think it's pretty clear what you should do instead. When your beautiful enemy is out of ammo and there are a dozen of you and one of him, there’s no need to assemble a firing squad. Perhaps the National Guard managed to take the barricade earlier and arrested some of the other Amis as well – all the better to have leverage over Enjolras.
I got a splendid fic for these prompts last year, but frankly I’m greedy, and how could I resist the “Motive - Rape Because Captor Thinks Captive is Pretty” tag? Sorry, Enjolras.
• I’m sure the National Guard have a lot of pent-up resentment over the events of the past two days. They were decimated by their stupid charge the night before and nearly blown to bits by Marius’s suicide bomber ploy, and the whole insurrection was started on a nonsensical pretext by some jerks who tried to steal a coffin from a dead war hero’s grieving family.
What better way to vent their feelings than to gang rape the leader of the barricade? It’s infuriating that Enjolras, the instigator of all this carnage and someone of a higher social class than most of the men he’s fighting, came through the battle unscathed when so many good men lost their lives – wouldn’t he look better all bruised up and wrecked from being fucked raw in every hole?
• Maybe after a good hard spanking with someone’s leather shoulder belt?
• If he’s too mouthy or he tries to bite they can always gag him with a bayonet.
• How do Enjolras’ surviving friends feel about all this? Do the National Guardsmen rape him in front of them, taunting them with their inability to help him (or the reverse)? Maybe they’d prefer to force one of his friends to rape him instead, or to make Enjolras choose between them. Combeferre seems like he’d be particularly unhappy about it, but also pragmatic enough and dedicated enough to saving lives that he would do it to save Enjolras from execution, even over Enjolras’ own protests.
• Or perhaps the Guardsmen are scrupulously professional and take Enjolras to the Prefecture of Police without harming a hair on his head so that Gisquet can decide what to do with him. As a barricadeur himself only two years prior, the prefect might have some sympathy for the young revolutionary. Maybe he’d prefer to let him go, either because Enjolras' family intervened on his behalf or because Enjolras seems like a nice if misguided kid and it'd be a shame if one poor choice ruined his whole life. All he needs is a small proof of Enjolras’ good faith… in the form of a blowjob. Enjolras must decide between taking this grubby deal or denying Patria his future services.
• Or maybe it’s Enjolras who comes up with the idea of the grubby deal, offering up his virgin ass in exchange for a friend’s life or freedom. True, he’s inexperienced at pleasuring another, but teaching him the ropes could be half the fun – maybe if he’s good Gisquet will even throw in a short course on how to stage a successful revolution. (If he’s bad or he’s too mouthy about politics, Gisquet can always knock him back into line with a spanking – or by reminding him of the threat against his friend). And one day, if Enjolras can wield enough influence as Gisquet’s catamite, he might even be able to win the prefect over to the republican side…
• But why bother with deals when Gisquet can simply take what he wants? After all, he is the Prefect of Police, he’s had an extremely trying week, he deserves some R&R, and Enjolras is his (very pretty) prisoner. There’s really no need to negotiate here, even if he has to call in some of his men to hold the boy down. (It’s hard to do with one hand, even with Enjolras handcuffed.)
• Once the National Guards or the prefect have Enjolras well broken-in, it should be safe to hand him off to some politician or a member of the royal court as spoils of war. Maybe there should be an auction, to raise money for the government. After experiencing the harsh consequences of disobedience Enjolras would never dare to rebel and turn on his new masters… right?

Much like my need for Enjolras to be fucked in every hole by the National Guard, my craving for Javert/Javert’s superiors noncon is inexhaustible.
To me the most interesting thing about Javert’s character is the tension between the person he believes he should be (an authoritarian follower who blindly obeys the orders of his superiors) and the person he actually is (a guy with a strong through misaligned moral compass who gets into vicious arguments over the fate of prostitutes or resigns from life in a fit of temper the moment he receives an order he doesn’t like). And what better way to highlight that tension with visceral intensity than for his superiors to demand sex he doesn’t want?
I’m guaranteed to love absolutely any fic where Javert’s superiors fuck him and he’s unhappy about it, but here are some prompts all the same:
• Gisquet and Chabouillet are playing office politics at a level way over Javert’s head, but Javert’s obliviousness won’t stop Gisquet from fucking him or punishing him to retaliate against Chabouillet. Raping Chabouillet’s beloved protégé is a great way to remind everyone that no matter how long certain people may have worked at the Prefecture and how accustomed they may be to pulling the strings, Henri Gisquet is the Prefect of Police and they are all ultimately under his orders. (If he really wants to make the point, he could fuck Javert in front of Chabouillet, or order Chabouillet to do it.)
• Javert is showing far too much interest in one escaped convict and far too little interest in pleasing his superiors. Whether it’s in Montreuil after Valjean reveals himself or he’s recaptured in Paris, the police have got hold of Valjean somehow, and Chabouillet and/or Gisquet won’t waste this opportunity to remind Javert where his priorities should really lie. Perhaps they fuck Javert or punish him in front of his nemesis to show ex-Mayor Madeleine to whom his police inspector truly belongs, or they order Javert to rape Valjean or do other terrible things to him. In any case, I’m sure they’ll find some compelling way to convince Javert that ultimately convicts don’t matter and the goodwill of his superiors very much does.
Will Javert go along with it all, or will his conscience or his possessive feelings towards Valjean push him into open rebellion? And if so, will his superiors succeed in crushing him back into submission again?
• AU where Javert is a slave and he belongs to the police literally as well as figuratively. Is he at the disposal of the whole force, or is fucking him a privilege reserved for Chabouillet or the prefect? What happens if some inferior officers force him to service them anyway? Does Chabouillet defend Javert, or does he just punish him for his promiscuity?
• Even if he’s not actually a slave, Javert owes his career to his patron’s willingness to take a chance on a bagne guard with a very questionable background, and he has an almost religious level of deference to the prefect. He’s not going to refuse them any sexual favors they might ask of him. But just how long has this abuse been going on, and how did Javert convince Chabouillet to take him on in the first place? And what happens if a third party (another policeman? Gisquet as the newly appointed Prefect of Police?) finds out about it? Maybe there’s something Chabouillet can offer Gisquet to keep himself from being sacked on the spot…

I’m always up for seeing Enjolras gang raped by soldiers, but what really interests me with the BBC barricade is how the presence of Despiat as a co-leader changes the class dynamics. Instead of a nameless group of workers being led by bourgeois students, as in Hugo’s rather revisionist version of events, we have a barricade where the core, identifiable group of fighters is almost evenly split between workers (Despiat, the black guy in the beret) and the Amis, who seem earnest but a bit overwhelmed by the situation.
Furthermore, it’s only the army attacking the barricade. The petit bourgeois National Guard never show up (maybe in the BBCverse they are less enthusiastic supporters of Louis-Philippe and refused to muster?), so it’s just the army: working class conscripts from all over France pitted against the workers of Paris. I imagine this changes things in the event that the barricade is taken and some of the insurgents are captured.
• Do the soldiers have some sympathy for the economic plight of the workers, and share Despiat’s disdain for the bourgeois students playing at revolution? Maybe they respect Despiat and the others too much to rape them, and reserve such degrading treatment for Enjolras. They can mock him for having a peasant’s dick up his ass – bet posh boy never thought he’d end up in this position, eh? Hell, he probably bought his way out of conscription. That’s not looking like such a clever choice now.
• Or maybe they’re afraid of what the students’ rich families with their connections and their lawyers might do to them if they hurt them, and leave them scrupulously alone while taking their rapey revenge on Despiat.
• In either case, someone is going to have to watch the other group get raped and feel guilty about how they’re powerless to help their comrades and how their class status is protecting them from sharing their terrible fate.
• But despair not, maybe everyone can get raped! The soldiers were under orders to put down the rebellion, but they do have some sympathy with the cause. All those months of spreading republican propaganda among the regiments and lamenting the fates of starving veterans were not in vain. They can’t let Despiat overthrow the government, but look, he can still take his revenge on one bourgeois. And he’d better do it, too, if he and Enjolras want to live another hour.
• Or maybe Despiat nobly offers himself for rape in place of his young friend. That’s a terrible beard Quinjolras has; the troops won’t be missing out on much. (Maybe they should shave Enjolras’s beard and then fuck him.)

I love Rivette and between trying to talk some sense into his lunatic boss and pining for that same lunatic boss who will only ever have eyes for Jean Valjean his life is pretty miserable already, so naturally my first priority is finding some ways to make it worse.
• Being captured and raped by republican insurgents would definitely make it worse! In the scene where Javert comes back to the Prefecture Rivette is hastily buttoning up his coat – what if he went out undercover to look for Javert and in this AU found his way to the Rue de la Chanvrerie barricade? Having unmasked Javert the Amis are probably on the lookout for police spies, and maybe someone recognizes Rivette, or he’s unable to contain his gasp of dismay at the sight of his beloved chief tied to a post and gives himself away.
Quinjolras seems fanatical and ruthless but also somewhat out of his depth, which is a sure recipe for atrocities in this kind of situation. Maybe the Amis question Rivette about the army’s plans and turn to rape as an interrogation technique. Maybe they’ve been questioning Javert unsuccessfully (since Javert was paying attention to nothing but Valjean and doesn’t actually know anything), and they rape Rivette to try to break Javert. Or maybe they just want to punish Rivette for spying. In any case, no one but Enjolras is particularly keen to die in this fight but it’s probably beginning to dawn on the group that the rebellion is unlikely to end well, and they need to take their bitterness out on someone. Perhaps Enjolras tries to restrain them at first, but the situation quickly escalates beyond his control.
• Despiat is quite angry about the state of society and the police are the enforcers of capitalism’s hierarchy, so maybe he should be the barricade’s designated point man for raping spies. Perhaps he takes Rivette away from the Amis to deal with him himself – either because the young students are too soft and incompetent, or to protect Rivette because they’re getting out of control. Or maybe it’s their innocence that he wants to protect – annoyed though he may be by their revolutionary dilettantism, he might still want to prevent the kids from doing something they’ll later regret. (Not that they’re going to have much of a “later”.)
• It makes everything so much worse that all this is happening in front of Rivette’s beloved boss. This is not how Rivette wanted senpai to notice him! Most likely Javert is already cross and disappointed that Rivette disobeyed orders by coming to look for him and then was incompetent enough to get himself captured. (Deep down of course he’s terrified for his subordinate’s safety and wellbeing, but he’s very good at concealing his concern from himself and especially from Rivette.) How much less will Javert think of him if Rivette fails to take his rape(s) with the courage and stoicism expected of Paris’ finest?
• Perhaps rape is the price for letting Rivette go, or letting Javert go, or letting both of them go. Perhaps the insurgents will only release them if Javert agrees to rape Rivette, or maybe it’s a “Fuck or die” situation. With regard to himself Javert would be perfectly happy to die, of course, but he can’t be so cavalier with Rivette’s life – and he’s probably cross about that too.
• What if Despiat is secretly a police agent? In the novel the person agitating most violently against the government was an agent provocateur, and Despiat doesn’t stick around to die with his republican comrades. Rivette says the police had a report that Javert was captured by the rebels, but who could have told them that except one of the people who left the barricade? Or maybe Despait’s a double agent sent by the revolutionaries to spy on the police, or a defector who was won over by the republicans’ arguments. Anyway, if things go wrong between him and his handler Rivette, it could lead to noncon.
• A "rivette" is 1830s slang for a pederast, and it would a tragic missed opportunity if none of Rivette's enemies take a moment to mock him for it.

Chauvelin is furiously resentful over Marguerite, Percy’s counterrevolutionary activities, and his own repeated failures to capture the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Percy canonically cuts off most of Chauvelin’s clothes and then orders him stripped with disproportionate relish. These two clearly need to fuck. Maybe Chauvelin uses noncon as an interrogation technique or their next fight escalates all the way to hatesex, or maybe Chauvelin’s revolutionary colleagues need to give them a little nudge in the right direction by locking them in a cell together and ordering them to fuck or die. Or maybe they start in on Percy of their own accord, and Chauvelin is confronted with some difficult choices.
• Solitary confinement never quite succeeded in breaking Percy, so Chauvelin needs to try something else. The new revolutionary legislation outlaws torture as an interrogation technique, but it doesn’t say anything about denying sexual gratification. And I bet Chauvelin with his genteel manner and his impressive self-control (as long as he’s winning) would be really good at edging.
• Percy is completely and deliberately insufferable, and sooner or later someone is going to realize that the best way to make him shut up is to fill his mouth with their dick. (Or a bayonet gag; that would work too.)
• Percy is all too eager to demonstrate his superiority with a sword – why not drop the metaphor and prove it with his dick? He can win a physical fight with Chauvelin whenever he likes, and he’s already at the point of cutting his clothes off him. It’s just a hop, skip and a jump from there to full-on noncon, especially if he wants to get his own back for the aforementioned edging incident. And of course Sir Percy Blakeney is far too much of a gentleman not to make sure his partner enjoys it.
• Honestly, this whole thing seems likely to evolve into a regular arrangement where every time one of them takes the other captive, he gets to fuck his prisoner as a prize for winning the engagement. Percy probably doesn't mind at all because hatesex is fun and it makes for a great diversion from whatever his real scheme is, but I bet it really bothers Chauvelin, even though he pretends it doesn't because it would disgrace the Republic to react to a temporary defeat with less equanimity than Percy. So Percy just thinks he's found a new way to be annoying and keeps doing it, but meanwhile Chauvelin is (as usual in Pimpernel-related situations) on the cusp of a nervous breakdown.
Will Percy ever realize that what he considers their amusing dubcon competition is being perceived by his adversary as outright rape? And if so, what’s he going to do about it?
• Chauvelin is being super sketchy about the whole Scarlet Pimpernel situation, especially if he goes with his bookverse plan of refusing to reveal the Pimpernel’s identity to his superiors. With such a long string of failures marring his otherwise competent record, his revolutionary comrades could be excused for wondering whether he’s been letting the English spy slip through his fingers on purpose. Perhaps he’s even joined the League himself! 1982 Chauvelin reads as bourgeois to me, but his class origins are never confirmed in canon, and if you go with his aristocratic bookverse background his colleagues have even more reason to suspect him.
Maybe someone else has managed to capture the Scarlet Pimpernel, and Robespierre demands that Chauvelin prove his loyalty… with his dick. Maybe Hébertists have got hold of Percy and Chauvelin both, and Chauvelin has to prove the revolutionary commitment of the entire Robespierrist faction to the Hard Left by fucking Percy in front of them.
• Or maybe the Committee of Public Safety has condemned Chauvelin already, and his punishment for failing to capture the accursed Pimpernel is for said Pimpernel to fuck him. Heck, maybe they don’t care who fucks who; maybe this is more of a straightforward “If you love that English spy so much why don’t you marry him?” situation where Chauvelin and Percy are thrust into a cell together and ordered to fuck at bayonet-point, but the precise logistics are left up to them. (How much they’re actually being victimized here versus seizing a long-sought excuse to jump each others’ bones is up to you.)
• Perhaps the revolutionaries haven’t captured Percy after all, but rather the Scarlet Pimpernel has disguised himself as a member of the tribunal, and he realizes the only way to save Chauvelin from the crowd baying for his blood is to fuck him for revolutionary justice. After all, his sense of noblesse oblige would never permit him to let another man die for something that Percy himself did, even if that something was repeatedly evading Chauvelin’s attempts to deliver him to the guillotine.
• Or maybe it’s Chauvelin who needs to save Percy. What if his men have captured the pretty Pimpernel and he comes upon a rape already in progress? Will he intervene to stop it, or will he wait until they’ve finished so he can come in and comfort Percy and clean his wounds and try to induce Stockholm Syndrome? And will it work, or will he find himself sympathizing with his hated adversary despite himself? There’s no triumph in defeating an enemy who has already been broken – perhaps it would be better to let Percy slip away this time and capture him again later?
